Real steals 3 points from rivals Martin Macks with amazing Amine's golaco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- The Real Sao Paulo F.C. overcame several key absences to earn a crucial road win Sunday morning at the Silver Terrace field, defeating one of their 1st division rivals by 2-1. With the win, the tricolores passed the Irish team in the league table and is now in 2nd position behind SF City F.C with one game less than most of the teams below them.
Real started pressing. In the 1st minute, free kick for Real. Cris tried the cross, but the defender cleared it. Bobby recovered it in the right wing and saw Murillo free inside the box. He sent a perfect cross and Murillo tried to hit it first time, but the ball went over the bar. Two minutes later, throw-in for Martin Macks. Bobby recovered and played with Fabio. He split the ball with the midfielder and it ended up as a through ball for Bobby. He carried it towards the box and tried a low shot at the far corner, but it went wide inches off the post.
In the 9th minute, throw-in for Real. Matias sent it to Bobby. He quickly played with Humberto in the left wing. Humberto sent it ahead to Murillo. He took advantage of the lack of communication between the defenders and took the ball. He laid it sideways to Leandro. He dribbled the defender and took a strong, low shot with no chances for the goalkeeper. Real 1-0.
Two minutes later, Martin Macks almost tied the game. Throw-in for Macks. Player #8 started a nice combination in only one-touch plays until he hit a long shot. The ball lobbied Mike and hit the bottom of the post. Scott managed to clear the rebound. In the 15th minute, Matias cleared the ball and Bobby recovered it. He played with Cris who called a nice one-two with Fabio. Cris sent the cross inside the box to Leandro. He had time to choose the side, but decided to dribbled the defender and lost the ball.
In the 22nd minute, Bobby and Cris created a nice combination and laid the ball to Humberto in the center mid. Humberto called a one-two with Bobby who back-heeled it to Leandro. He opned again to Bobby who tried a nice shot from outside of the box, but it went wide inches of the right post.
Despite the early edge, the Tricolores did not respond with the kind of effort coach Fabio had wanted and Martin Macks pulled one back in the 27th minute. Throw-in for Macks. The quick throw got our defenders by surprise as Player #11 was waiting for the ball behind them. He carried it inside the box and shot it high as Mike was coming out of the goal. The ball entered exactly at the top, far corner and Martin Macks tied the game.
In the 34th minute, throw-in for Macks. Humberto was more concerned about complaining instead of paying attention to the players approaching. Player #11 received the throw easily and laid it sideways to the other midfielder who tried an open shot, but Scott was well positioned and intercepted the shot clearing it out. Ten minutes later, corner kick for Real. Leandro sent a perfect cross to Ever. He went up alone and headed down perfectly, but the goalkeeper saved it.
Before the end of the 1st half, corner kick for Real. Leandro played it quickly with Cris. He sent the cross inside the small box and Fabio almost had it, but the defender cleared it. Amine got the rebound and took a nice shot, but the goalkeeper saved it.
In the 47th minute, throw-in for Macks. Bobby tried to clear it out of the box, but Jackie got the rebound. He tried a first time shot, but the ball passed inches over the bar. Three minutes later, throw-in for Real. Cris sent to Bobby who gave the defender a hat with the chest. He brought it down and played with Leandro. He got rid of the defender as he entered the box and laid it sideways to Fabio. He waited for the first bounce and tried a low show, but the goalkeeper managed to perform an amazing save.
Real finally found the net again in the 65th minute. Amine sent the throw-in to Fabio inside the box. He dribbled the defender and noticed Amine coming towards the box. He gave him a back heel pass and Amine hit a perfect, first time low shot with no chances for the goalkeeper. Golaco! Real 2-1.
One minute later, throw-in for Real. Bobby switched the game perfectly to Leandro in the right wing. He held the ball close to the end line and played with Amine. He got it back and played with Murillo and got back first time. He tried the cross, but the defender intercepted with the arm inside the box, which should have been a penalty, but the linesman or the referee refused to call it. Leandro took the corner kick and the defender cleared it out. Amine got the rebound, dribbled the defender and tried a shot from 45 yards out. The ball hit the post and Amine almost scored another amazing goal.
In the 75th minute, throw-in for Real. Bobby sent it to Fabio in the left wing. He dribbled the defender and entered the box waiting for someone to pass the ball to. He tried Murillo, but he changed his path at half way and Real missed a great opportunity to increase the lead.
In the 84th minute, free kick for Macks. The ball was played to player #7. He dribbled two Real defenders and sneaked a pass inside the box. Player #12 had the chance to equalize, but he missed the goal. Four minutes later, Cris recovered the ball and played with Leandro. He carried the ball down the right wing and opened with Humberto in the top of the arc. He saw Fabio opened inside the box and gave him the ball. It was probably the easiest goal ever, but he managed to send the ball in the moon.
Martin Macks still had another opportunity during the 6 (SIX) minutes of added time allowed by the main referee, who had actually said he was going to give "only" 4 minutes. Corner kick for Macks. The cross was too long, but the player recovered int he opposite side. He sent a perfect cross back inside and the forward tried a header that passed inches off the post.
Martin Macks kept pushing hard for an equalizer until the enf of the game, but couldn’t quite find one, dropping their record to 3-2-1 and getting their first loss of the season. Real, on the other hand, got their third win of the season going now to 3-2-0 and taking the second position from the rivals. Real faces SF Celtics Reserves next Sunday and a win can put the tricolores in the top of the league.
